TVXQ held a special concert to celebrate its 10-year celebration. From December 6-7, the duo's concert 'TVXQ! SPECIAL LIVE TOUR -T1ST0RY-' at the Gymnastics Stadium at Olympic Park in Seoul. It has been about 2 years since the group held its exclusive concert in Korea, and tickets for the concert have sold out in just minutes after a website for reservations opened ticket sales. TVXQ drew a total of 24,000 audience through its 2 shows, and the two handsome guys proved that they are still two of the most popular kpop idol stars.
Since it debuted in 2004, TVXQ has stayed on the top of the Kpop world. The title of the group's concert "T'1'ST'0'RY" is formed by combining 'TVXQ', 'HISTORY', '1', and '0', which mean TVXQ's history for 10 years.
Max Changmin stated, "I couldn't have done it if it weren't for Yunho. I stuck fast to him like a parasite."
And added, "As it has been 4000 days since we debuted, the concert is very meaningful to me, and it make my heart flutter."
U-Know Yunho said "He helped me a lot too. We always tried to show some new aspects of us and overcome the limitations. I think our fans were drawn to our sincerity."
Before the concert was started, Yunho talked to the press, with a confident manner, "Please just enjoy the concert. Even though you take ugly photos of us and write wrong articles, it's ok. I'm really confident about the concert."
At the concert, TVXQ performed a total of 28 songs including its hits such as 'Keep your head down' and 'Catch me'. The group also performed all the tracks of its 7th full album that was released last January and sang Korean versions of Japanese singles 'Somebody to love' and 'Android' for the first time.
The concert contained all the things of the group's activities for the past 10 years, while the group performed new versions of its old songs such as 'I believe', 'My little princess', 'Paradise', and 'You're my melody' by arranging the songs into acoustic versions. It was notable that TVXQ performed the acoustic songs with live band.
Well, as the duo have had a lot of experience with stage performance, they absolutely overwhelmed the audience with their high quality performance. They were full of confidence and the performance directed by SM's Performance Director Shim Jae Won was spectacular enough to catch eyes and ears of people.
Yunho, who unveiled his own song 'Bang' for the first time, stated, "Actually, I wrote my own songs whenever I performed at our concert. But it is the first time for me to take part in arrangement of the song too. It's a dynamic music, and I think it will be a pleasant surprise for our fans."
Changmin fascinated his fans by taking off his top and showing off his perfect muscular body when he was performing his solo song.
He said, "To take off my top on stage, I had a life of long-suffering. For 2 months, I stopped drinking and avoided spicy and strong-tasting foods such as soup, stew, red pepper powder, and kimchi."
As you know, TVXQ has gained a lot of popularity not only in Korea but also abroad. Many media outlets and fans from various foreign countries such as China, Japan, and Thailand attended the concert and showed great interest in TVXQ. TVXQ exchanged greetings with them in various foreign languages and did its best in return for their constant support.
In November 2014, TVXQ released its new Japanese single 'Time works wonders' and recorded 107,000 sales for the first week, being ranked No.1 selling foreign artist in Japan with a total of 40.1 million copies of single albums.
Yunho said, "Of course, the record is important, but I'm just thankful to be active in the world of kpop for a long time. I want to be active as a singer for many years to come. It's so happy to give people dreams with my songs."
And Changmin added, "We usually draw 700,000 to 800,000 audience through our concert tour. I will try harder and want to draw more than 1 million. My junior singers sometimes tell me that they were big fans of me when they were children. Well, it can be just empty words, but I feel really great about being a man who can give people dreams with my songs."
