Through YG entertainment's special hip hop project, Big Bang's G-Dragon and Taeyang formed a new sub unit GD X TAEYANG and released a single “Good Boy” in 2014. Big Bang's Daesung topped Oricon's daily album chart in Japan. The singer's album 'D-LITE', which was released on October 29, took over the first place of Oricon's daily album chart right before being released in Japan. The album has a total of 9 tracks, and Daesung's 3 new songs are also included in the album. The title track of the album is 'Loot at me, Gwisoon' that was originally written and composed by Big Bang's G-Dragon, while the lyrics of Japanese version of the song was written by Japanese musician Yamada Kenichi. Daesung, who drew a total of 170,000 audience through his solo arena tour ‘D-LITEDLive 2014 in Japan ~ D’slove ~’ held in 8 cities in Japan, will hold ‘Encore!! 3D Tour D-LITE DLive D'slove’ at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo from January 31, 2015 to February 1, 2015, and at Osaka Jo Hall from February 10, 2015 to February 11, 2015.

Big Bang's Daesung will release his new solo mini album 'D-Lite' in Japan. According to YG entertainment, the album which includes a total of 4 tracks will be released on October 29. The title track is Japanese version of 'Loot at me, Gwisoon', and Kenichi Maedayama wrote lyrics of the catchy and cheerful music, while second track of the album is 'Big Hit' and third track is a new version of Akiko Wada's hit 'Furui Nikki'. Linda Yamamoto's legendary song 'Dounimo Tomaranai' is on fourth track.   Daesung stated, "Through the album, you will be able to see a new side of me which is different from Big Bang. Please sing it together and dance it together."  Meanwhile, Daesung will release his LIVE DVD・Blu-ray 『D-LITE DLive 2014 in Japan ～D’slove～』on October 22. The LIVE DVD・Blu-ray includes Daesung's live performances and interviews for his solo arena tour in 8 cities of Japan.

Big Bang's Daesung topped various music charts in Japan with his solo single 'Rainy Rainy'. According to YG entertainment, the album released on June 11 is gaining immense popularity in Japan, taking over No.1 places of Japan's major music charts such as iTunes and Mu-no. The album has a total of 4 songs including the title track 'Rainy Rainy'. It is notable that Daesung personally took part in writing lyrics of the song. The album also includes two new Japanese songs and Japanese versions of 'Try smiling' and 'Look at me'. Daesung kicked off his solo arena tour 'D-LITE DLive Tour 2014 in Japan' in Yokohama Arena, and will visit various places of a total of 8 cities such as World memorial hall of Kobe, Marine Maesse Fukuoka, Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, and Osaka Jo Hall, drawing more than 170,000 audience.   Meanwhile, Daesung will release his new solo album in Japan on July 16.
