[Exclusive] IU receives love calls from more than 10 dramas to be aired in 2018


Recently, a controversy arose over IU's appearance in tvN's new drama "My Ajeossi". The drama portrays the romance between a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s, and it seems it's a very unpleasant theme for IU's fans. IU has been offered the title role of the drama, but nothing is confirmed yet.

By the way, the notable thing is that IU has received love calls from lots of dramas to be aired in 2018 besides "My Ajeossi". According to a person who works for Fave Entertainment, home to IU, the female k-pop star has been offered the title role of more than 10 dramas.


IU has been active not only as a singer but also as an actress since her debut, and the pretty female star has been one of the most sought-after young actresses in the Korean drama industry. But, what's interesting is Korean drama industry's interest in her is higher than ever right now. Do you know why?

You know, in 2017, she made an appearance in "Hyori's Guesthouse", receiving great attention from the public. She has been so popular in Korea, but after her appearance in the program, yeah, she's got more fans. And in September 2017, she released her new album and topped various music charts, proving again her great popularity as a singer. She's now one of the few young female stars who are loved by both men and women of all ages.
