History of G-Dragon: Debut, Success and more

1988–2009: Early life and debut G-Dragon began his career at age five as part of the group Little Roo Ra. After releasing a Christmas album, the group's contract was terminated by their record company, which came as a shock to G-Dragon. After then, he was scouted by SM Entertainment while on a ski trip with his family. He was a trainee under the record label for five years, specializing in dance before he left, unclear about what he wanted to do. In third grade, G-Dragon was introduced to the American rap group Wu-Tang Clan by a friend. Inspired by their music, he developed an interest in rapping and began taking classes. Under People Crew's tutelage, he participated in the release of the Korean hip-hop album Flex in 2001, becoming the youngest Korean rapper at just 13 years old. So I’ve asked several people in the k-pop industry for the objective standard to decide the rankings, and some of them gave me a hint about it. Well, what they told me was that I should apply different standards to boy groups and girl groups. EXO Popular boy groups usually have their enthusiastic fandom because most of their fans are teenage girls, and what people in the k-pop industry told me was the size of the fan base and the passion of the fans are factors to consider first when I decide k-pop boy groups’ rankings. The location of k-pop idols' dorms Most of k-pop idols live close to their agencies. There are two reasons for it. First, it's important for k-pop idols to live close to their practice rooms because they spend a great deal of time in practicing. Second, from the point of view of k-pop agencies, it's easy for them to manage their idols if idols live close to their agencies. And sometimes, k-pop idols live close to hair shops to handle their time effectively. Here are places where many k-pop idol groups' dorms are located. Gangnam, Cheongdam, nearby Youngdong bridge, nearby Konkuk University, Hapjeong and nearby Hongik University.
