What SHINee's going to prove through their comeback


SHINee holds its 5th exclusive concert in Seoul "SHINee CONCERT SHINee WORLD V" from September 2-4, while the boy group's new album will be released soon. I'm sure many of you're really looking forward to the concert and album. Well, check out what SHINee's going to prove through their comeback.

Five better than one

The 5 SHINee members have been busy doing their individual activities. Taemin and Jonghyun released solo albums, while Onew, Minho and Key appeared in their dramas. Well, the talented idols absolutely proved their competitiveness as solo artists, showing great performance.

However, yeah, SHINee is a 5-member group, and the members display their real worth when they perform on the stage as a 5-member group. That's why so many fans are really looking forward to their comeback even though the 5 members have been active as solo artists. As they're putting so much work into their concert and album, I'm sure they'll show outstanding results.


Relative Dominance

It's notable that SHINee is still at the pinnacle of her career even though it has been 8 years since its debut in 2008. It is never easy to maintain popularity for such a long time in the world of kpop.

 Then, who do you think is SHINee's rival? It could be 2PM because the boy group also debuted in 2008, while its agency is JYP Entertainment, one of the big 3 kpop agencies along with SM Entertainment.

 It's interesting that 2PM will make a comeback around the same time as SHINee. There's a possibility that the 2 popular idol groups will face off against each other. Well, who do you think will be the winner? Under the present conditions, it's likely that SHINee will be the winner. Sorry for 2PM's fans, but the boy group has been experiencing a fall in the kpop world(mainly because of JYP's lack of promotion ability), while SHINee is still holding the lead in the Korean music market.
 

Sales Power

SM Entertainment's shares have been on a downhill slide since early July amid China’s growing opposition to Korea’s THAAD deployment. The kpop company needs to make a breakthrough now.

In this situation, SHINee's comeback could be a welcome rain for the company. SHINee has so many loyal fans, and it is expected that the group will earn substantial revenues through its concert and new album, proving that it is one of the most influential idol groups in Korea.

Actually, SHINee has already done so much for SM this year. The boy group has held its concert tour in Japan from January to May, drawing a total of 430,000 fans. In a situation that the 2 members of TVXQ are serving military, SHINee is invaluable to SM.

1988–2009: Early life and debut G-Dragon began his career at age five as part of the group Little Roo Ra. After releasing a Christmas album, the group's contract was terminated by their record company, which came as a shock to G-Dragon.
