Mr.Kang Acts as a Bridge for Suzy x Baekhyun and Yoona x 10cm Collaboration

You know, Girls' Generation's Yoona finally released her first ever solo song “Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway” on March 11, 2016. Did you enjoy listening to the song? Yoona's sweet voice was really attractive, while her harmony with 10cm was quite impressive too.

By the way, there was a man who acted as a bridge between Yoona and 10cm. He is Mr.Kang, who is a seasoned k-pop manager. He has been working in the world of k-pop for many years and has a very wide circle. He has played a crucial role in the production process of “Deoksugung Stonewall Walkway,” while he acted as a bridge for Suzy x Baekhyun and Taeyeon x The One’s collaborations too. Here are his words.

I was in charge of casting singers for the collaborations. It was really not easy to contrive collaborations among top k-pop idol stars of different agencies. For more than a year and a half, I had meetings every week. I matched singers, contacted them, and tried to persuade them. But the project fell through frequently, and I sometimes had to give up. I felt as if I were walking on thin ice. Until the collaborative project was completed, there have been many people's sweat, tear, and effort. I have had a really hard time of it, but that's why I feel so rewarded now. And I want to say that music is not just a consumable thing. It's a precious collection.
