Q. Tell me about your new album 'A+'. Hyuna: I took part in every track of the album. "Sexy" is my concept for the album, but I hope people will recognize all my sweat and effort. I will show you all about the album through my performance on stage. I want to hear people say that only Hyuna can show such a gorgeous performance. I titled the album "A+" because I wanted to be praised by the public.
Q. Is there a difference between the title track 'Because I'm the best' and your former hit songs such as 'RED' and 'Crazy'? Hyuna: 'RED' and 'Crazy' are the songs which are full of sounds. However, 'Because I'm the best' has some spaces and I have to fill it with my voice. So, it requires more concentration to perform 'Because I'm the best'. I hope many females who live their lives to the full will sympathize with the song.
Q. You are considered as one of the sexiest kpop singers. What do you think of it?
Hyuna: Actually, I don't like fancy things and I'm a regular stay-at-home. I just try to be absorbed in the song when I perform on stage. I think it's a kind of role-playing. When I was preparing for the stage performance of 'Because I'm the best', I wanted to express things about a hotshot.
Q. You've been sticking to your sexy concept since you debuted. Don't you have any plan to show a new style of performance?
Hyuna: I've been sticking with one thing. That's the way I am. I don't think I'm cuter than other cute idols such as Apink and GFriend. I sometimes dance to their music, but pure and cute concept don't match with me.
Q. When do you feel you're the best?
Hyuna: When I perform on the stage. I make myself up all pretty before appearing on stage because I should look pretty there.
Q. People say your album trailer is too raunchy. What do you think of it? Hyuna: I wanted to show my healthy and sexy image. Some say it's decadent, but I didn't intend for it. As you know, I have only 3 to 4 minutes on stage to perform my song. I should show my energy within the time allowed.
Q. How did you keep your body in shape? Hyuna: When I filmed music video of 'Because I'm the best', I tried to gain weight because I wanted show powerful dance performance. However, on the screen, I didn't look so pretty and I started a diet. I went to the gym every day despite my hectic schedule. I combined aerobic exercise and work with weights, and I lost 3 kg in the last one and a half months. Actually, I love eating and I put on weight easily. I think it's common courtesy for me to stay slim because I'm an entertainer.
Q. How do you spend your time? Hyuna: I don't like to drink because my face turns red as a beet when I drink alcohol. I like to play badminton and watch movie at home.
Q. Aren't you interested in a love affair? Hyuna: I focus on one thing only. When I work on my album, I do not meet people except for my manager and composers. Believe it or not, I'm not able to date somebody now. I don't have a certain ideal type. I want to be loved by someone who is like-minded with me because I'm a woman too.
Q. You are a former member of Wonder Girls and the girl group recently made a comeback. How do you feel? Hyuna: When I watched Wonder Girls' music video, it was so touching and I called Yeeun. I've waited expectantly for Wonder Girls' comeback too.
"Do k-pop idols really sing live? It's not an easy question to answer because the answer to the question could be both yes and no. Well, I want to talk about details about k-pop idols' live performance on the stage. Have you heard about MR, AR, LMR, and LAR? If you get to know about these terms, you will be able to have a good understanding of k-pop idols' live performance." MR(Music Recorded) Basically, MR means instrumental accompaniment. Have you been to karaoke? MR is like karaoke music which doesn’t contain the sound of singer’s voice. However, there is no k-pop idol who uses such a clear MR, while all the k-pop idols’ MR contains sounds of their voices. Before performing their songs on k-pop chart shows, k-pop idols should make their MR, and the way how they make MR is to decrease the sound volume of their voices in original music, while keeping the sound volume of instrumental accompaniment as it is. So, to k-pop idols, singing to MR doesn’t j...

When he writes songs, he hears a variety of opinions from BIGBANG members, and he shares his idea with Teddy, a famous music producer of YG Entertainment to make better music. But you can say G-Dragon plays the largest role in writing BIGBANG’s songs because he usually creates main melodies of the songs. And he plays a huge role in BIGBANG’s concerts too. He is such an experienced performer so that he knows well about all the things regar...
As you know, Kpop girl group members look so innocent and cute. We usually describe them as 'fairy'. Then, how about their feet? It seems that they have tiny lovely feet. Well, what do you think? Let's see the shoe sizes of Kpop female idols. Sooyoung has the biggest feet among Girls' Generation's members. Girls' Generation: Soo Young(Big foot) / Sunny, Jessica, Hyo Yeon(Small foot) Soo Young has the biggest feet among Girls' Generation(SNSD) members. It is 245mm. Have you ever been curious about k-pop idols' microphones? Unless you are a professional, it’s difficult to know the details about the microphones. However, there’s a very simple way to make a guess at what kind of microphone your favorite idol star uses. Well, the way is to classify the microphones by their colors. Colors of microphones do not always mean everything, but like I said, you can at least make a guess at what kind of microphones those are. Flesh-Colored Microphone You might see the flesh-colored microphones frequently in various k-pop chart shows. Those are the basic microphones offered by the broadcasting company. People in the k-pop world usually call it "Band-Aid." The microphone is cheap, and it doesn't perform well. However, it doesn't matter because not a few incompetent idols depend on their AR and just pretend to sing live. Black Microphone The black microphone is not offered by the broadcasting company. If an idol group's...
1988–2009: Early life and debut G-Dragon began his career at age five as part of the group Little Roo Ra. After releasing a Christmas album, the group's contract was terminated by their record company, which came as a shock to G-Dragon. After then, he was scouted by SM Entertainment while on a ski trip with his family. He was a trainee under the record label for five years, specializing in dance before he left, unclear about what he wanted to do. In third grade, G-Dragon was introduced to the American rap group Wu-Tang Clan by a friend. Inspired by their music, he developed an interest in rapping and began taking classes. Under People Crew's tutelage, he participated in the release of the Korean hip-hop album Flex in 2001, becoming the youngest Korean rapper at just 13 years old. Although he wrote his own lyrics, he admitted that his English was weak and the story behind the lyrics was just another typical "I'm young, but I'm the best." Additionall...
