CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa topped SBS' 'Inkigayo' with his solo song 'One Fine Day'.
On February 1, the handsome singer took over the first place of the music chart show, pushing Davichi and Mad Clown back to No.2 and No.3.
"The elements that affect 'Inkigayo's ranking are as follows. 60% - Digital sales points (Gaon Charts), 35% - SNS points (YouTube views & Twitter mention provided by Gaon Charts), 5% - Advance Viewers Vote Points (SBS mobile app), 10% - Live SMS Voting (for top 3 artists only). As you can see above, Jung Yong Hwa recorded the lowest digital sales point(3445), but he reversed the situation by recording the highest SNS, Advance Viewers Vote, and Live SNS Voting points. Most of the other idol stars top various music chart shows in the same way because they have enthusiastic fans who can vote for them."
Jung Yong Hwa, who debuted as a solo singer and has already topped KBS' 'Music Bank' aired on January 31, stated, "I'd like to thank all my fans and FNC families."
"Even though Jung yong Hwa topped 'Music Bank' and 'Inkigayo', proving his popularity as a famous idol star, his raking on online music chart is very disappointing. His own ballad song, 'One Fine Day' is now hovering just outside the top 30. Maybe because of 2 reasons. First, the song has nothing special compared to the other ballad songs. 'One Fine Day' is an emotional music and has a catchy chorus, but predictable and does not have its unique characteristic. Second, unfortunately, solo singer Jung Yong Hwa is not more attractive than CNBLUE's leader Jung Yong Hwa."
Jung Yong Hwa will hold his first ever solo exclusive concert at the Ax Hall Korea in Seoul on February 28 and March 1. After that, he will kick off his Asia Tour and visit a total of 6 Asian countries including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, and Taiwan.
"Jung Yong Hwa's company, FNC entertainment, is now providing full support to him because it's a crucial moment for the company. The company was listed on the stock market at the end of 2014 and is now trying to get actual results. It is expected that Jung Yong Hwa will be able to make a huge profit through his upcoming Asia tour."
Have you ever been curious about k-pop idols' microphones? Unless you are a professional, it’s difficult to know the details about the microphones. However, there’s a very simple way to make a guess at what kind of microphone your favorite idol star uses. Well, the way is to classify the microphones by their colors. Colors of microphones do not always mean everything, but like I said, you can at least make a guess at what kind of microphones those are. Flesh-Colored Microphone You might see the flesh-colored microphones frequently in various k-pop chart shows. Those are the basic microphones offered by the broadcasting company. People in the k-pop world usually call it "Band-Aid." The microphone is cheap, and it doesn't perform well. However, it doesn't matter because not a few incompetent idols depend on their AR and just pretend to sing live. Black Microphone The black microphone is not offered by the broadcasting company. If an idol group's...
"Do k-pop idols really sing live? It's not an easy question to answer because the answer to the question could be both yes and no. Well, I want to talk about details about k-pop idols' live performance on the stage. Have you heard about MR, AR, LMR, and LAR? If you get to know about these terms, you will be able to have a good understanding of k-pop idols' live performance." MR(Music Recorded) Basically, MR means instrumental accompaniment. Have you been to karaoke? MR is like karaoke music which doesn’t contain the sound of singer’s voice. However, there is no k-pop idol who uses such a clear MR, while all the k-pop idols’ MR contains sounds of their voices. Before performing their songs on k-pop chart shows, k-pop idols should make their MR, and the way how they make MR is to decrease the sound volume of their voices in original music, while keeping the sound volume of instrumental accompaniment as it is. So, to k-pop idols, singing to MR doesn’t j...
Q. You released your 6th mini album "Blueming" after a 7-month hiatus. How do you feel? Yonghwa: Even though the album is just released, it feels like it has been a long time since we released the album. I think it's because we've been planning for the album for a long time. Jungshin: After releasing "Cinderella" last year, we've been busy with our concert tour. As our Asia tour recently finished, it feels like we made a comeback without a break. Q. The album contains a total of 5 songs, while all the songs are written by you guys. Didn't you feel burdened about releasing an album filled with your own songs? Yonghwa: Frankly speaking, yeah, it's burdensome. However, we are doubly happy when we achieve a success with our own songs. And we know about ourselves more than anyone. That's why we released an album filled with our own songs. Q. What is the hardest part about writing songs? Yonghwa: I sometimes suffer from an obsession ...

The location of k-pop idols' dorms Most of k-pop idols live close to their agencies. There are two reasons for it. First, it's important for k-pop idols to live close to their practice rooms because they spend a great deal of time in practicing. Second, from the point of view of k-pop agencies, it's easy for them to manage their idols if idols live close to their agencies. And sometimes, k-pop idols live close to hair shops to handle their time effectively. Here are places where many k-pop idol groups' dorms are located. Gangnam, Cheongdam, nearby Youngdong bridge, nearby Konkuk University, Hapjeong and nearby Hongik University. A notable thing is that most of k-pop agencies don't let their idol groups live close to idol groups of the opposite sex. When do they move? Most of the time, the period of k-pop idols' lease contract is 2 years. So, they usually move out every 2 years. Of course, if they want to move to a very nice house, they should bec...
