What do you associate with Kpop stars? Splendid performance and stunning looks? That's right. Kpop idol stars have something in common.
But this time, I want to introduce a Kpop rookie band who is entirely different from idol stars. It's Honey finger 6.
The band is comprised of three members, Han Kyung Soo, Hwang Yerin and Uncle Saem. They made a debut in December 2012 with its first single 'Fix you', and attracted public attention by releasing its charming second single 'Different Positions' in early 2014. Have you listened to the song? Let's check out the music video of 'Different Positions' first.
How is it? Do you like it? The urban folk song is about the quarrel of lovers. They sing "I can't have an early night on such a nice day. I have many questions about many things. About love, why do you always behave as you like? If you're going to do things that way, let's just break up."
Hwang Yerin, the female vocal who has attractive cute voice, was recognized as talented singer by appearing on TV audition program 'The Voice of Korea'. I interviewed Honey finger 6, and Yerin said "My dream from the childhood was to be a singer. I used to imitate Lee Jung Hyun and Uhm Jung Hwa's dance moves. I want to be known as Honey Finger 6's Hwang Yerin, not The Voice of Korea's Hwang Yerin."
Here's the video of Yerin's performance at 'The Voice of Korea'.
Han Kyung Soo, the male vocal, has worked as a chorus singer and a vocal trainer before making a debut. He stated, "I have so many dreams as a vocalist. I'm also thinking about my solo performance. I want to be one of the best vocalists in Korea."
Uncle Saem, whose real name is Han Saem, is a talented guitar player. Apart from guitar, he can play many different instruments such as drum and bass. He told me, "We want to become a humane band. We will do emotional music, and our goal is to make a satisfactory album."
