Q. Tell me about your new song "Love Whisper".
Yuju: "Love Whisper" is a summer song which has a fresh melody. The song is written by Leegi Yongbae, who have been working with us since our debut. People say our concept is powerful pure, but this time, I want to name it "power-up pure concept" because we will show more powerful performance on the stage.
SinB: Yeah, the choreographer, who has created BTS' choreography choreographed for us this time. The choreography is more difficult than ever.
Sowon: The choreography has many movements which remind people of a musical.
Q. How does it feel to make a comeback?
Sowon: It's our first album in 4 months, and we've been really hard at work on the album because we wanted to put on a better show for our fans. I did out best to meet people's expectations, and I'm confident it is a well-made album.
Q. It's notable that "Love Whisper" is quite different from your previous hit "Fingertip".
Sowon: Well, we attend a meeting for our album and we express our opinions, but we do not usually choose our title track. Our agency usually decide our concept. We had many choices, but "Love Whisper" was chosen as our title track because the song is suitable for summer.
Umji: Even though "Love Whisper" is different from "Fingertip", both songs contain our own musical characteristics. We want to widen our musical spectrum.
Q. You've been on a roll since your debut. Don't you feel pressured to get good results on music charts every time?
Yuju: It's a lie to tell that we never care about music charts, but I think what's more important is how we do on the stage.
Q. A variety of popular singers will release their new albums this summer. Do you have a sense of rivalry against them?
Eunha: Well, it's an honor to make a comeback around the same time as so many great singers. I hope all of the songs will be loved by many people.
Sowon: As always, we will do our best on the stage, and we will try to enjoy performing on the stage.
Q. Girls' Generation will release its 10th anniversary special album soon too.
Sowon: Girls' Generation is our role model, and the girl group is like a textbook to us. It is really really an honor for us to make a comeback around the same time as Girls' Generation. When we saw them in the flesh, we felt like we met real celebrities. They were so kind and nice to us. We congratulate on their 10th anniversary.
Yerin: Yeah, we hope to mark our 10th anniversary some day just like Girls' Generation.
Q. Your new album includes a fan song. Is there some reason why you always include a fan song in your album?
Sowon: We can exist thanks to our fans, Buddies. We want to express our thanks to Buddies through our album.
Q. What do you want to achieve through your new album?
Sowon: We want to be a singer who sing songs which are loved by people for a long time. I hope people will enjoy and listen to our new album for a long time.
