YG will launch a survival program for its new boy group later this year
YG Entertainment decided to launch a survival program for its new boy group.
According to the YG official, the survival program will begin to air later this year, while the agency's male trainees will appear in the program. Bang Yedam, who has received great attention by taking part in SBS' audition program "Kpop Star 2" will also appear in the program to compete with the other talented trainees.
YG Entertainment launched its own survival program whenever its boy groups debuted. All of the BIGBANG, WINNER and iKON members competed in the survival programs and they could become idol stars because they survived the fierce competition.
YG has been sticking to this kind of way of promoting its new boy groups because its trainees can have many loyal fans even before their debut. You know, I.O.I and Wanna One members could become very popular because they gave off their charm on "PRODUCE 101".
It is expected the YG trainees will give off their charm by appearing in YG's own survival program and become as popular idols as BIGBANG, WINNER and iKON.
