YG Family Proves its Overwhelming Popularity in Beijing
YG family proved its overwhelming popularity in Beijing.
On October 19, 'YG FAMILY 2014 GALAXY TOUR: POWER IN BEIJING' was held at Worker's Stadium in Bejing, China.
The reflection of the stage lighting on a mirror ball marked the beginning of the show, while 2NE1 started to perform 'Crush', shouting, "Beijing, are you ready?"
in front of 35,000 fans, 2NE1 performed its hits such as 'Fire' and 'Come back home', and then Epik High hit the stage and sang 'FLY', 'Get out the way', and 'Love love love'. When Epik High performed 'Get out the way', the audience went wild and the stadium looked like a huge dance club.
YG's rookie boy group Winner who debuted last August also performed at the concert and was greeted by avid crowds. The group sang 'Go up', 'Empty' and 'Smile again', and said hello to its Chinese fans in Chinese language, saying, "Did you eat dinner? I'm hungry. Please enjoy the show."
Dressed in fancy golden suits, Big Bang performed its hits including 'Haru Haru', 'Bad Boy', and 'Fantastic Baby'. Even though the group's member Seungri, who recently had a car accident, wasn't there, the stadium was filled with excitement. Big Bang's TOP said "We will back here next time as a 5-member group."
Psy appeared on the stage in a special way when the theme song of Hong Kong film 'A Better Tomorrow' was played in background. Dressed in a red costume, the world wide star performed 'Right now', Gentleman', and 'Gangnam Style'.
YG artists' special collaborative performances were also shown at the concert. G-Dragon and CL performed 'The baddest female' and 'MTBD', while Winner's Song Minho and 2NE1's Sandara Park performed TOP's 'DOOM DA DA' and Bing Bang's Daesung and Winner's Kang Seung Yoon sang 2NE1's 'Ugly'. Taeyang and Epik High sang 'Eyes Nose Lips' together.
As an encore performance, the YG artists performed 2NE1's 'Go away', Big Bang's 'Fantastic Baby' and Psy's 'Gangnam Style'.
Before the concert was held at the stadium, the crowd surged in and it brought traffic to a standstill. Even though the air in the city was hazy with smog, the audience responded enthusiastically to the 4 hours of concert.
YG family will hold its next concert in Taiwan on October 25.
