Girls' Generation Sets a New Record on Oricon Chart

Girls' Generation(SNSD) set a new record on Japan's Oricon Chart.

According to SM entertainment, the girl group took the first place of Oricon's daily album chart and weekly album chart with its first ever Japanese best album 'The Best'.

It is third time for Girls' Generation to top Oricon's weekly album chart, which is a new record as an Asian girl group. The group has topped the chart with its first Japanese full album 'Girls' Generation' in 2011 and third full album 'Love & Peace' in 2013.

Girls' Generation's first Japanese best album has a total of 18 tracks including its hits such as 'Genie', 'Gee', 'Mr. Taxi', and Japanese version of 'Mr. Mr.'.
