TWICE Tzuyu's signed Polaroid photo was sold at a price of 880 USD in Japan
TWICE, a k-pop girl group who made an official debut in Japan by releasing its first Japanese album "#TWICE" on June 28 is enjoying huge popularity in the country.
On June 30, TWICE appeared on "Music Station", which is the most popular music show in Japan. TWICE became the first k-pop girl group who appeared on "Music Station" since Girls' Generation made an appearance on the program in 2012. And on July 2, TWICE held its debut showcase at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, which can accommodate 10,000 audiences. It's unusual for a foreign rookie girl group to hold its debut showcase at such a big gymnasium in Japan. TWICE's debut album sold over 200,000 copies within just a week.
One reason why TWICE is so popular in Japan is because the girl group has three Japanese members, Momo, Sana and Mina. Japanese fans are giving full support to the three lovely and attractive members.
It doesn't mean the other TWICE members don't have Japanese fans, though. Especially, it's notable that the girl group's Chinese member Tzuyu is enjoying great popularity.
Tzuyu's signed Polaroid photo was recently up for auction on a Japanese Internet auction site. How much do you think the winning bid was? It was 101,000 yen! (about 880 USD)
Too expensive? Well, the fan willingly paid big money to get the photo, because, yeah, it's worth it for the fan.
Anyway, it is likely that TWICE's popularity in Japan will be soaring higher and higher.
