Were All the Tickets for Big Bang's Concert in Seoul really Sold Out?

BIGBANG has successfully wrapped up its 2015-2016 world tour by holding final concerts in Seoul from March 4-6, 2016. Through the 3 times of concerts at the Gymnastics Stadium in Olympic Park, BIGBANG drew a total of 39,000 audiences. The concerts were great, and the talented 5 members showed top class performance.

By the way, before the concert, much was said about the show because it was so hard to get tickets for the concert. The tickets were all sold out in an instant, while BIGBANG’s TOP revealed that even the BIGBANG members couldn't obtain extra tickets. Actually, many of idols used to tell a lie that tickets for their concerts were all sold out because of their pretty pride even though tickets for k-pop idol groups' concerts in Korea are really all sold out only in rare instances. Then, do you think it’s true that all the tickets for BIGBANG's concert in Seoul were sold out?

A week before BIGBANG’s concert, I visited YG entertainment to meet the YG staffs and exchange greetings because my wedding was coming up soon. The YG staffs in the PR department are always busy because they have to deal with all the Korean medias. By the way, on the day, they were busier than usual. Their phone rang again and again. Guess what the calls were about. Yeah, their acquaintances and media workers asked them if there were extra tickets for BIGBANG’s concert. However, the only thing they could do was say sorry."

Media workers like me sometimes enjoy a privilege, frankly speaking. K-pop agencies sometimes provide concert tickets for free, while it is also possible that the media workers buy the tickets at a cheap price. That's why I was always able to go to BIGBANG's concert with my wife, a huge fan of G-Dragon, without reserving the tickets online. But in March 2016, it was really hard to get the tickets and I had to buy them at the original price, while a YG staff told me that even people working in YG couldn't get any extra tickets. Yeah, it's true that all the tickets for BIGBANG's concert in Seoul sold out, and it showed how BIGBANG was popular and how much k-pop fans were looking forward to the boy group’s concert.
