Big Bang's G-Dragon invites global fans to his old practice room
Big Bang's G-Dragon is going to have a very special time with his global fans. Through a special project with Airbnb, GD will invite his fans to his old practice room, while the fans will stay there for 2 nights and 3 days.
(Actually, I've never heard about Airbnb before. According to the company, founded in August of 2008 and based in San Francisco, California, Airbnb is a trusted community marketplace for people to list, discover, and book unique accommodations around the world — online or from a mobile phone or tablet.)
Anyway, only 5 fans from 5 different Asian countries(Korea, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Southeast Asia) will seize an opportunity to visit GD's old practice room. Here's the event page. https://www.airbnb.com/night-at/gdragon?locale=en
It says, "This is your host, G-Dragon. For five of you special friends, I'm going to completely welcome you into Dukyang Studio, which is filled with my memories from over ten years of music and dance training. Right now the studio looks just like it did when I was a trainee, but I'm transforming it into a home for us to get to know each other better! I'm going to fill it up with everything that inspires me like fashion, music, toys and cartoons. Dukyang Studio is in the Hongdae neighborhood which is known for its artistic spirit and local underground music. I can't wait to welcome you into my Airbnb!"
GD attended a press conference for this special project held in Seoul and showed excitement regarding his meeting global fans.
Q. What made you take part in this special project?
GD: Whenever I go overseas to perform my concert tour, I miss my home. But so many foreign fans helped me feel comfortable by welcoming me. I wanted to make a return for it by taking part in this project.
Q. Why did you decide to invite global fans to your old practice room?
GD: I spent countless hours in the practice room when I was a trainee. The practice room means more than home to me. Trainees are now practicing hard there.
Q. Are you going to do any special preparations for the event?
GD: Comfort is the first priority. I hope fans will be able to rest comfortably for 2 nights and 3 days. I'm thinking about the ways to communicate with the fans. I'll meet the guests at the door in person, and I will introduce Seoul's famous places and my favorite places.
Q. How do you feel about the event?
GD: I'm looking forward to it and I'm so excited. I'm the host and they're guests, but I think we will be able to be friends. It will be a special experience.
Q. So, what kind of guest do you want to spend time with?
GD: I think I have to ingratiate myself with them regardless who comes.
