EXID Hopes to Dominate Online Music Charts with its first ever Full Album

On June 1, EXID held a comeback showcase for its first ever full album "Street" at Ilchi Art Hall in Seoul. At the showcase, the girl group talked about the album with journalists and performed the title song "L.I.E" for the first time. The showcase was successful even though EXID was late for the event due to the broadcast shooting for "Show Champion" and some of the journalists were angry about it.

Q. You released your first ever full album. How do you feel?
Solji: I'm very thrilled now and a little bit nervous. I'm curious about what people's reactions are.
Junghwa: I once wondered if we could release the album, but we put so much work into the album as it is our first full album. We have so much affection for all the 13 tracks.

Q. Tell me about the title track "L.I.E."
LE: Actually, the song was written even before we released "Hot Pink." However, we were worried that the song is so different from "UP&DOWN," "Ah Yeah," and "Hot Pink" that people would find it difficult to enjoy the song.
Junghwa: The song is totally different from our former songs. We wanted to show new aspects of ourselves. As we have a outstanding producer LE, we could include our own musical characteristics in the album.

Q. So you intended to show some musical changes through the album?
LE: Yeah, it has been 4 years since we debuted, and I thought it's time to change.

Q. I guess you are filled with emotion because this place(Ilchi Art Hall) is where you held your showcase for "UP&DOWN" 2 years ago.
Solji: Yeah, this place reminds me of old memories again.
Junghwa: 2 years ago, we held a showcase thinking that it was the last time. Frankly speaking, we had never imagined we could achieve such a big success with "UP&DOWN." I think it's a lucky place, and I hope "L.I.E" will become as popular song as "UP&DOWN."
Hyelin: When we released "UP&DOWN," we were in the depths of despair.

Q. What do you want to achieve through the album?
Hyelin: I hope the title track and one of the rest 12 songs will become popular among people.
Junghwa: My parents said that I should have a big dream. I hope we will be able to dominate online music charts with the 13 songs.

Q. Do you have any messages for your fans?
Hani: Since we released "UP&DOWN," we've always shouted "Let's just enjoy it" before stepping on stages. I had a restless night yesterday because I was so nervous, but we'll try to enjoy ourselves on stage. And I know we're still lacking in many things, but please give us your interest and support.
