Q. You made a comeback with your brand new album. How do you feel?
Jisoo: We've been hard at work on our new album for our fans who have waited for us for about a year. We're so affectionate towards every each song, and I hope you like it.
Q. Tell me about your title track "DDU-DU DDU-DU".
Jennie: When I listened to the song for the first time, I could feel it's the music we've been looking for. It sounds like a gunshot or a magic spell. You know, we've been working with great music producer Teddy since our debut, and when we were preparing for our comeback, we talked much about our album concept and melodies. It took much time to complete "DDU-DU DDU-DU".
Q. It's your first ever new album in one year. Why did it take so long to make a comeback?
Jennie: We've worked on more than 4 songs, and we really wanted to release high quality songs. We cared about every little detail, and that's why it took so long time for us to make a comeback. Actually, we're sure that we can satisfy all the fans who've waited for us for a long time.
Q. What's the difference between your new song and previous hits?
Jennie: I think out new song contains more elements of hip hop music. The song is more powerful and vivid than our previous songs.
Rose: Yang Hyun Suk cared much about our new choreography. He personally taught us and said we must not look feminine.
Q. What is your favorite song among your new songs?
Jisoo: Personally, I like "See U Later". The song is about parting, and I think people like the song because the song has catchy melody.
Rose: I love "Really". It is a summer song, and it includes witty lyrics.
Lisa: "Forever Young" is my favorite song. The song reminds me of a road trip, and it makes me cheerful.
Jennie: I like the title track "DDU-DU DDU-DU" because the song is quite different from "As if it's your last" and I'm sure we can show a different side of ourselves through the song.
Q. Tell me about your future plan.
Rose: We'll have our first ever Arena tour this summer. It's true I'm worried and nervous about our first Arena tour, but we'll do our best to show great performance.
Jisoo: We're planning for a special event such as fan signing even to meet our fans. We know how eagerly our fans have waited for our comeback.
Q. What is your goal?
Jisoo: In the old days, we felt pressured to get good results. However, we're just enjoying our challenge now. We'll be happy to get good results on music charts, of course, but what's more important is to show our characteristics on stage.
