IU to make a comeback in the second half of 2018


You know, IU has been cast in tvN's new drama "My Ajeossi". Even though a controversy arose over her appearance in the drama because the drama portrays the romance between a man in his 40s and a woman in her 20s, yeah, the female k-pop star eventually decided to take the lead role of the drama. "My Ajeossi" will begin to air on March 21, 2018, and according to Fave Entertainment, home to the k-pop star, she will focus on filming the drama until the end of the drama.


Filming a drama is a very hard job, and most of actors and actresses usually take a long break after finishing filming their dramas. However, IU, who is well known for passion and ardor for music, is different. She hates to spend time meaninglessly, and she never forgets the fact that she's a musician not just an entertainer.

Here's a good news for IU's fans. According to officials from Fave Entertainment, the k-pop queen will release her new album in the second half of 2018 even though she will not be able to work on her new music for the time being. Right after finishing filming "My Ajeossi", she will begin to work on her new album.


Of course, nothing is actually confirmed yet about the concept of her upcoming new album and it will take some time for her to prepare for the album after finishing filming "My Ajeossi", but the earnest k-pop musician has worked constantly on her music and has written pieces of her new own songs during her hiatus since her comeback in September 2017. And without any unexpected issues, her new album will be released in the second half of 2018.
