[Interview] Jackson says he will always be GOT7's Jackson

Q. You've just released your new song "You Are", and it seems you tried to change your image.
JB: We wanted to show bright, cheerful and cool image of ourselves. I think the song is more similar to "Fly" than "Hard Carry" or "Never Ever". Of course, we love to show sexy and powerful image of ourselves, but I think the public like bright and energetic image of us.

Q. JB, you wrote the title track.
JB: Yeah, I was very happy when the song was chosen as the title track, but on the other hand, I felt a lot of pressure. Park Jin Young highly praised me.

Q. You topped various music charts right after the song was released.
Jinyoung: JB said he will treat us a meat dish.
JB: Yeah, I'll treat them a beef dish.

JB: We have anxiety about our musical achievement and the completeness of our music.

Q. Jackson, you've topped Chinese music charts with your solo album, but some people said you will leave GOT7 some day because you didn't take part in GOT7's promotional activities in Japan.
Jackson: I know not all people like me. But I can't care about every little thing. What I can tell you is that I'll always be GOT7's Jackson.

Q. Who is "You" in your song?
JB: I wanted to express my thanks for all the people who I appreciate. I wanted to thank our fans because we can get great energy when we hear our fans roar. And I also wanted to thank my parents for raising me.

Q. In the song, you emphasize the fact that you have 7 members. Is there any special reason for that?
BamBam: We recently had a vacation, and we gathered after a two-week vacation. We felt really great at that time, and we wanted to deliver the atmosphere to listeners.

Q. NU'EST W has just released its new song too. Do you feel a but rivalry with the team?
Jinyoung: We couldn't listen to the song yet. But I think they're totally different from us. NU'EST W is a great group, and we just want to do our do with great success.

Q. Where do you get the inspiration for writing your songs?
Jinyoung: I usually don't try to get the inspiration. Instead, I try various genres of music.

Youngjae: I get the inspiration from my daily life. I take notes when I come up with a good idea.
JB: I think a lot while walking around. And I take notes too.
Mark: I think of our fans when I write songs, and I try to write the lyrics our fans will like.
BamBam: I get the inspiration from movies.
Jackson: I always record new ideas with my cellphone.

Q. JYP's new boy group will make a debut soon. How do you feel about it?
