The reason why SHINee's Key thinks the quality of his content is more important than his performance fee


SHINee's Key has been active not only as a singer but also as an actor in the Korean entertainment world. The idol star appeared in some dramas such as "Drinking Solo" and "Look Out", and yeah, he showed very impressive acting performance. He is recognized as a competent young actor among people in the Korean entertainment industry, and it is expected that he will continue to act in various dramas or films.

By the way, one remarkable thing about Key is that he's made an appearance in a play too. In 2016, he appeared in "Save the green planet", a play adapted from a movie. The play is scheduled to open again soon, and Key decided to appear in the play again.


Actually, most of famous idols do not like to make an appearance in a play because people these days are not that interested in plays and play actors are paid less than drama actors and movie actors. Then, why do you think Key decided to appear in his play? If he wanted, he could have appeared in a major TV channel's drama after finishing filming his previous drama "Look Out" because he is a famous idol star. Well, it is because he thinks the quality of his content is more important than his performance fee, and that's why many people in the Korean entertainment industry like him.

On August 9, Key attended the press call of his play "Save the green planet" and talked about his acting career. Check out what he said.

It's a play adapted from a movie, and it's true actor Shin Hahyun did really great in the movie, but I don't feel pressured. I'm just focusing on getting into my character. The play contains a lot of meanings, and I'll do my best because I know there are many people who have much expectations for my acting. People say famous stars must perform on the large scale stage, but I don't think so. The world has changed, and what's important is the quality of my content. I feel really great because I can introduce a great play to people. And I don't want to give up appearing in a play because I can be inspired by a play. Because I act in a small theater, I can interact with audiences and I can keep in tune with them. And I also can express what I want to. Of course, I love to sing, and I love to act in a drama too. I want to be an entertainer who is active in a variety of fields.

Dynamic Duo released its new album. The Korean hip hop duo that consists of Choiza and Gaeko is regarded as the representative hip hop artist in Korea, while the two met in the 6th grade of elementary school and have a long standing history of being friends.
