IU originally planned to release repackaged version of "Palette" (+gives a hint about her comeback)


You know, IU has successfully finished her promotional activities for her new album "Palette". She has gained a huge popularity, while she topped a variety of music charts too. By the way, aren't you curious about stories behind it? IU recently revealed some unknown stories about her album, looking back on her promotional activities for "Palette". She seemed to be very satisfied with her activities, and she also gave a hint about her comeback. Check out what she said.

#Twenty_Five

I'm twenty five years old this year. Actually, I'm twenty three in Western age, haha. "Palette" symbolizes who I am now. In a word, twenty-five-year-old IU is like a palette. What I think I will be doing 10 years from now? I think things will not significantly different from now because I have not changed a lot since the past 10 years. Even if there will be changed, the fact will not change that I'm IU. I think I'll be still singing 10 years later. Instead, I want to become a little bit more mature.


#Palette

While preparing for the album, everything went smoothly even though I've prepared for the album for a really long time. It was really amazing that everything went as planned because I've never had such an experience since I was born. I'm thankful to so many people who helped me. Actually, I've never been satisfied with myself because I have a very high standard for self-contentment. But this time, I was confident that I worked really hard. I've worked on the album with all my heart and soul.

I was so happy that I could become intimate with myself, and I decided to recognize myself. The album is very meaningful to me for various reasons. And I think all the people who made memories by listening to the album and people who sympathized with my story are parts of the album. That's why the album is a very big and lovely album.


#Fan_Signing

I'm not a singer who holds a fan signing event very often. However, I know many fans want me to hold a fan signing event very often because it could be a great chance for one-on-one talks. And as I had a long hiatus before making a comeback, I held two times of fan signing event this time. What surprised me was there were many foreign fans too. I didn't know I have so many foreign fans, and I was so happy.


#Comeback

I originally planned to release a repackaged version of "Palette". That's why I took special photos with my staff members including my manager, photographer and stylist. The photos were planned to be included in the repackaged version of "Palette", but, as the repackaged album will not be released, we decided to keep the photos private.

Actually, I've changed my mind after releasing "Palette". The album was more popular than expected, and I thought the album doesn't need further explanation. That's why I decided not to release the repackaged album.

My comeback plan? You know, many months are left before the end of this year, and I've already made specific plans. But, I can't tell you about it yet, haha. Just please look forward to it. I can only tell you that I'm working now.
