TWICE sold more than 100,000 copies of its album in its first comeback week two times in a row

According to Hanteo Chart on May 21, TWICE has already sold more than 100,000 copies of their new album "SIGNAL" even though it has been only 5 days since the album was released. You know, the girl group's previous album "Knock Knock" was also sold more than 100,000 copies in its first release week.

Album sales are usually regarded as the yardstick for idol groups' popularity, while boy groups usually have a higher record of album sales than girl groups because boy groups have many loyal fans. However, a few very popular girl groups such as Girls' Generation has a higher record of album sales than many of boy groups, and people in the k-pop industry say it means the girl group is a top class girl group who is loved by men and women of all ages.

So, it's notable that TWICE has already become a top class girl group even though it has been just 2 years since its debut, and it is expected that the girl group will have a long run in the world of k-pop just like Girls' Generation did.

The Korean hip hop duo that consists of Choiza and Gaeko is regarded as the representative hip hop artist in Korea, while the two met in the 6th grade of elementary school and have a long standing history of being friends.
