Will Girls' Generation be able to make it without Jessica?


Girls' Generation is coming back. The girl group's album release has been provisionally arranged for July 6. The album is in course of final preparation.

One of the most notable things is that the album will be released in summer. 'Mr. Mr', Girls' Generation's most recent album in Korea, was released in February 2014, while 'I Got A Boy' was released in January 2013. Upcoming album will be Girls' Generation's first summer album since the group released 'Genie' in 2009.

Many girl groups usually release their albums in summer because the season is the right time to fascinate people with their sex appeal. They can wear revealing costumes and do uptempo dance music in summer. That's why it is highly expected that Girls' Generation will show fascinating performance through its upcoming new album.

Girls' Generation recently filmed its new music video in Thailand, while all the members have changed their hair styles. Did you see Yoona's dyed hair? It seems that she dyed her hair for the first time in her career. Do you like the members' new hair styles? :)


By the way, it is also notable that the album will be Girls' Generation's first Korean album since Jessica left the team in September 2014. Jessica has been focusing on her own business in Hong Kong.(She looks sill happy even though nobody can know what's really on her mind now)

Girls' Generation's new album will the the chance to prove that the girl group is still going well without Jessica. That's why Girls' Generation and SM Entertainment are putting so much work into the album.

Add to this, Girls' Generation needs to show off its undiminished power in the world of kpop because so many kpop girl groups are now trying to overthrow the No.1 girl groups by imitating the girl group's pure and innocent concept.(GFriend, OH MY GIRL, etc.) As a trend leader, Girls' Generation needs to show new kpop trend and prove that the group is "impossible to surpass."

Meanwhile, many other kpop girl groups will also release their new albums in summer. Some of them will face off against Girls' Generation. MAMAMOO will make a comeback on June 19, while SISTAR and AOA will released their new albums on June 22. Girl's Day and 9Muses will release their new albums in early July.

Dynamic Duo released its new album. The Korean hip hop duo that consists of Choiza and Gaeko is regarded as the representative hip hop artist in Korea, while the two met in the 6th grade of elementary school and have a long standing history of being friends.
